Jack Bartlett

Jack began playing the guitar at the age of 14. After being shown how to play his first three chords by his Father, he went on to teach himself, studying the likes of George Harrison, Joe Walsh and Dave Davies. Jack soon began writing songs, with The Beatles, The Eagles and the music of the 60’s as his main influences.

In 2011, Jack went one step further by releasing his debut EP, ‘If It Takes All Night.’ It was recorded at Deep Blue Sound, the nationally renowned music college, where he spent two years studying. Jack’s second EP, ‘She Is Love,’ was released the following year and featured backing vocals from local blues vocalist Becca Langsford.

In the summer of 2013, Jack went back into the studio with Rob Way, lead guitarist of Oasis tribute band ‘Supersonic.’ The pair released the double A side, ‘I’ll Be True / Strong In My Mind’ under the name of ‘The Velvet Beat.’ Rob had previously featured on Jack’s second record release playing keyboards and guitars. Together they hope to write and record more music to be released.
